All cilantro can bolt quickly, especially in hot weather, but flowers are beloved by insects, and then the large seeds can be collected for coriander and replanting. Cilantro is one of those herbs who just needs to be allowed to do its thing in the garden. Let it self-seed, and you will never be without.
Medicinally, cilantro is reputed to help the body chelate heavy metals.
