Kick-off the workshop season at Herricks Herbs & Heirlooms with an herbal basics class.  Join us as we review best practices for harvesting and preserving your herbal bounty.  We will cover drying, storing, infusing, tincturing, and tonics, which are the starting points for making your own herbal products.  If weather permits, we will forage in field and garden for volunteer herbs to practice our skills.  While we always engage in lively discussions on the uses of herbs, this class will primarily focus on the hands-on side of herbalism.  This will be particularly useful to herb share members who want to know, “what do I do with all these herbs?”  In addition, participants may put their workshop fee toward a 2018 Herb Share.  Workshop is beginner friendly, includes materials, and will last 1-2 hours.  Registration required.
