Join North Fork Herbalist Heather Cusack for a family herb class in the medicinal herb garden at Herricks Herbs & Heirlooms.  We will harvest and make summer teas all while learning about growing, harvesting, and drying herbs, using in teas and foods, and their many delicious, nutritious, and medicinal qualities.  As you enjoy the magic of the summer garden with your children, we will learn about mints, catnip, lemon balm, chamomile, sage, hops, raspberry leaf, basil, and tulsi or holy basil.  Grow them now and preserve them for winter use!  Heather has completed apprenticeships at the Boston School of Herbal Studies, Rosemary Gladstar's Sage Mountain in Barre, Vermont, and at Avena Botanicals in Rockport, Maine.  Her herbal practice is Heather's Herbals in Cutchogue. Registration by 6/22 or 7/4 preferred, but last-minute attendees are welcome if spaces are available.  Program lasts approximately 1-1.5 hrs and program cost is per family!
