Oxymels are herbal remedies which combine apple cider vinegar, raw honey, and herbs. Simple to put together, they can be used nutritively and medicinally. We’ll sample a delicious elderberry oxymel. Then experiment and create your own personalized oxymel utilizing the farm's organic herbs, local raw honey, and organic apple cider vinegar with 'the mother'!

Oxymels hail back to ancient Greece and are a favorite remedy of herb farmer Nicole Orens-Williams and herbalist Emily Frank. Join us both for an fun and informative class learning the art and science behind this traditional medicine—they are so much more than just fire cider! Participants will get to taste an elderberry oxymel, learn how to strain and finish an oxymel, as well as create another oxymel to bring home. Workshop lasts approximately 1 hour, meets in The Herb Loft (over the garage) and includes all materials for participants to make and take their own oxymel.
From Amityville, NY, Emily Frank has completed her herbal studies from the Northeastern School of Botanical Medicine with 7Song, and the Herbal Academy.
