Made some tinctures or oils and not sure how to use them? Ready for the next step in using herbs to treat illness and improve the health of your family? If you are interested in building a home apothecary or first-aid kit, this workshop is for you! Join north fork herbalist April Alexander and “farmden”er Nicole Orens-Williams for Part 3 of this three-week series. This week they will cover making simple remedies from dried and fresh herbs, extracts, and infusions. Topics and remedies covered will include: herbal teas and bath teas, poultices, syrups, salves, pills, tonics, switchels, and more!
Learn to combine and use your simple remedies effectively to treat illness and support good health. Participants will make-and-take a handful of useful remedies—a first-aid salve, a brain tonic, and a sore muscle soak. Workshop is beginner friendly, includes materials, and will last 2-3 hours. Registration by 7/16/20 preferred (last-minute attendees are welcome if spaces are available and class has at least four signed up by 7/16). *Materials fee applies.
