Join north fork herbalist April Alexander and “farmden”er Nicole Orens-Williams for a workshop near and dear to our hearts. As two moms who don’t always make “mainstream” choices, we’re constantly learning! Today, we’ll share some of the home remedies we’ve come to rely upon over the years to keep our families healthy. These herb-based preparations are simple to make, cost-effective, and gentle on little bodies. But do they work? You betcha.
Topics to be discussed include earaches, tummy troubles, colds, fevers, calming formulas, immune systems, and preventative care. In addition, we’ll be sampling a fever reducing tea, as well as making-and-taking an elderberry syrup, a calming glycerite, and a bath tea. Bring questions and an open mind! Program is beginner friendly and will last about two hours. Registration prior to 8/3/20 preferred (last-minute attendees are welcome if spaces are available and class has at least four signed up by 8/3/20). *Although this workshop is about herbs for kids, it is geared toward caregivers. **Babes in arms/slings are always welcome.
